Gunze Sangyo (Mr. Color) acrylic paints are regarded as one of the best for scale modelling, especially building model aircraft. If you have a Hasegawa kit you’ll definitely be referencing Gunze Sangyo paints in your instructions booklet.
The problems is, GU / Mr Color acrylic paints are pretty hard to find, especially online. I finally found a good collection of them at Lucky Model, and my first batch of order consisted of about 15 different colors. Only about 10 paint arrived a few weeks later, nicely packed in their original six-pack case. The rest of the colors were out of stock.
Then I ordered more paints again, only to find more delays and lack of stock. For some reason Lucky Model does not tell you beforehand if a particular color is in stock. You only see the status after you have bought the paint, which is not the case when you’re shopping for model kits. Anyways, although you can get Gunze Sangyo / Mr Color paints here, expect a lot of paints to be out of stock.
It seems it really is hard to get them.
